A Thanksgiving to Remember

I spent Thanksgiving at my In-Laws house, which was so wonderful. There were only 8 of us there so we had wonderful conversation and food.
The following morning I headed out to Ocotillo Wells, so that my husband could going riding, little did I know that this would be the busiest weekend there. The first night a camp next had a live band play until 2 o'clock in the morning. Normally, I'd be all for this and enjoying the music, but I was SO tired, I just wanted to sleep, but being in a tent made it impossible.
On Saturday, Brad and a bunch of the guys went out for a long ride, while I stayed back at camp. Next thing I know my husband's brother come racing towards me on his motorcycle. Turns out Brad crashed and broke his collar bone and someone was driving him to the camp in the back of a truck. I raced around to pack up the belongings we had so that I could take him to the ER. It took quite a while and by the time we made it home it was 1 o'clock in the morning. So that was my Thanksgiving weekend. I can say that I am very thankful he was not injured worse that day.
Here are a few layouts that I'm working on today. Pictures are credited to Kathleen Clark Photography.

Finally Happy and Content

Its been a very long time since I've felt completely happy and satisfied with my life. I always wondered if I was going in the right direction, and if I could continue on the path I was going.

I was laid off my corporate job in February. I was Financial Analsyt for a Commercial Real Estate Lending bank and with the economy I was one of the many people they had to let go. So what did I do? I took a vacation to Cancun and to figure out what direction I wanted to go in with my life. I wasn't happy at my corporate job, I felt my life had more meaning, and all the money in the world couldn't make me happy there. So I had to decide between money and happiness....and finally happiness won out.
When my husband and I came back from Cancun, I started on the process of starting my own album design business, and since then I couldn't be happier. I absolutely love what I do now, and my life is now complete and I'm so satisfied with where I'm going. I want to thank the photographers who gave me a chance and have let me design the albums for their brides. Without the wonderful photographs taken by April Smith Photography, Goodman Photo & Video, and Kathleen Clark Photography, my albums would not have turned out as wonderful as they did. Here are just a few samples from some of the albums I've done to date:
